Glenville is one of the various neighborhoods that make up the town of Greenwich, CT. It is a historic neighborhood that previously served as a mill village.
Glenville is located in the western portion of Greenwich. The Byram River runs through the neighborhood.
The neighborhood itself is home to a variety of landmarks and attractions. The Western Greenwich Civic Center is located in Glenville, in addition to a number of restaurants, pizzerias, and delis. The Civic Center plays host to a variety of activities, and has its own baseball diamond and playground on site. Situated above the baseball field is a long, gently sloping hill. This hill is a popular destination for sledding children when it snows in the winter.
Glenville also has its own volunteer fire department and public elementary school. It is a wonderful place to visit.
